15" x 7"

100% linen.
Machine wash in cool to warm water. Use a mild detergent, no bleach. Hang to dry, or tumble dry on low heat + remove while slightly damp.
For natural or colored linen, it’s best not to hang in bright sunlight to avoid fading. Ironing is optional. Some people prefer linen crisp + flat, others like it soft + natural. Dry thoroughly before storing. Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Enjoy the patina that comes with age!
Remove stains with soap + water while still fresh, before they dry. Pre-soaking in mild detergent is very effective in lifting stains. Never use chlorine bleach which may damage the fibers.

Studiopatró
Designed, cut, handprinted + sewn in California

“Useful” + “beautiful” – two words that motivate me in my work + at home. Designer + craftsman William Morris said it best: “Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”
I started Studiopatró with this thought in mind. My work has always centered on art + design, first as an art teacher + then as a graphic designer. I organized words + pictures, designed catalogs for Williams-Sonoma, art directed photography + worked with talented stylists + chefs. So naturally, design + kitchenware inspired my new endeavor, + the linen tea towel became the perfect canvas for new work.
I think of our tea towels as an accent – a brief moment of subtle color, modern pattern or words that inspire. They’re a place to rest your eye, bring a smile to your face, + add a bit of beauty + color to your life + home. I love that the simple kitchen towel can become a special token, + still remain its humble + hard-working self.
In the kitchen, I always have plenty of linen tea towels + cotton flour sacks on hand to quickly dry dishes, wipe countertops, cushion bowls, use as hot pads, or wash + dry salad greens. I encourage customers to use their towels, wash them often, + enjoy the patina that comes with age. These practical habits have inspired our newest company motto, “Use Cloth Not Paper”.
Our linen is the finest medium-weight linen available, + is naturally sustainable + luxurious. We test for absorbency + sturdiness, + these aprons + towels work beautifully. They remain strong + actually get softer with lots of use.
Each tea towel is handprinted one-by-one, using ecologically friendly water-based inks. We are committed to working locally + to creating meaningful working relationships that honor the collaboration, talent + expertise of our screeners + sewing partners. Every detail of production is important to us, right down to the ribbon we tie on each package.
